Take it from someone who knows, Utah can be one tough place to be a progressive. That's why I respect and admire Mayor Rocky Anderson of Salt Lake City so much, and why I arranged for Mayor Anderson to launch "PDA's Intimate Conversations," a benefit for our sustaining members.
Across this country with few exceptions, politician after politician has remained silent as this administration has ridden rough shod over the Constitution. It is remarkable that a progressive from Utah, of all places, has been unafraid to speak out so eloquently about the wrong-doings of this administration and to move so many to take action. Check out Mayor Anderson's web page, A Compelling Case for Impeachment.
Rocky doesn't just speak; he converts those words to action as he has done in Salt Lake City with his energy-saving reforms. He has traveled the world, speaking about Global Warming and what can be done now to reduce its impact.
With Labor Day upon us, it's appropriate for PDA to recognize the important work you do. So, I'm inviting you to join me, next Wednesday, in the final conversation with Rocky Anderson-get the details and reserve your space here.
I hope you'll take this opportunity to join me and my fellow Utahn, Rocky Anderson, for a fun and informative hour on one of the most important issues we face.
Happy Labor Day,
Laura Bonham
PDA Communications Coordinator
