The Legacy...What I have learned from The President of the United States of America Important people, well ok people who important to themselves, worry about their legacy. What will people remember about MEEEEEEEE? Aside from not much for the average person, we do remember lots about those whose dramatic lives and personal drama impact us. The current President of the United States is such a person. We will never forget him. We will never forget a lot of people who clung to the Decider, The Commander Guy and the man who told us all the world was for him to worry about and it was our job to simply go about our business.
"What a tangled web we weave when first we have to show everyone we are wearing our Big Boy Pants"...or something like that. I forget.
There are, of course, a few things we won't remember about the Bush administration. We won't have to cloud our minds with memories of peace talks or diplomacy. We won't have to remember countless times where "come, let us reason together," made us so proud to be a light on the hill of humanity. State Visits by meaningfully influential world leaders won't come to mind very much. Memories of trips to various parts of the world promoting peace and friendship also will escape us pretty much. And I certainly won't remember how to live within your means.
On the other hand, we will remember WTC's 1 and 2. Those that have done their homework will also remember WTC 7 but most won't. It's hard to forget about something you never heard of. There are lots of things American's have never heard of and most of us here reading this will always remember how the American Press no longer boldly reminds us of those things we would not normally hear about without them. Thank God, from whom all blessings flow....for the Internet. Or is that Internets? We couldn't have remembered without you baby!
If "we" soon bomb Iran, I'm sure we'll remember the outcome of that really well. Actually, let me change that "we" to "he". The American people have no intention of bombing Iran. Let's all be sure to remember it was "he" or maybe "them," but it was not US.
But darn it, I HAVE learned a lot and will always remember the many wonderful things I learned from this administration. There is a Legacy and aside from the President and his Evangelical counselors working the entire planet into the amazing self fulfilling prophecies of the Book of Revelation and the return of Jesus, I want to share what I personally will never forget.
