BATTLE FOR THE SOUL OF AMERICA
It's a classic case of good vs. evil, the Jedi vs. Darth Vader, the hobbits vs. Sauron and the Nazgul, We the People vs. the Bonesmen, or the Illuminati, or whoever the hell they are.
Bush and Cheney have been subverting our Constitution since they took office. They've also been undermining the basic principles on which America was founded, the principles of liberty, equality and justice for all. They've corrupted Congress, taken over the mainstream media to use as their propaganda organ, used the military to further their private interests, drained the treasury, hastened environmental catastrophe, and terrorized the population with rumors of false flag operations, bird flu epidemics, concentration camps meant for us, etc, etc, etc. Cheney has issued veiled hints about nuking an American city- the internet is buzzing with concern about the missing nuclear-tipped cruise missile.
It's now clear that from the start, the goal of Bush and Cheney has been to create the conditions necessary to institute a dictatorship.
They were counting on an easy victory, but have been thwarted at every turn by alert, patriotic Americans, and by their own arrogance and greed. We the People have held our own, and it's not over yet.
Look at the record:
the fourth plane on 9-11-01 would have targeted either the White House or the Capitol. Either would have been an excuse to institute martial law on the spot. Someone, a pilot with cold feet, or uncooperative passengers, or someone at mission control, steered it off course and took it down, averting a fascist coup.
Two weeks later, two key players in the Democratic Senate, the only section of government that was still fiercely opposing Bush-Cheney policies, received anthrax in the mail. Tom Daschle, Senate Majority leader, and Patrick Leahy, Chair of Senate Judiciary, were holding the line against the onslaught of corrupt, fascist legislation. They both would have been dead if conscientious doctors at the Communicable Disease Center had not quickly identified the anthrax problem early on, and instituted containment measures. The cooperative post office screened mail carefully enough that the deadly letters to Daschle and Leahy were intercepted in an outer office. As it was, two Senate office buildings had to be closed down for decontamination for several months. Administration members had invested millions in anti-anthrax antibiotics, which were never needed, because the epidemic was stopped in its tracks by loyal Americans. An anthrax epidemic would have been an excuse for martial law.
Bush and Cheney revved up the notion of war with Iraq with deliberate lies. We know this because a patriotic American, Ambassador Joe Wilson, denounced the yellowcake from Niger lie in a New York Times op-ed, soon after Bush asserted it in his State of the Union speech. Wilson, via the outing of his CIA wife Valerie Plame (the sneaky, dirty, cowardly dogs), paid a heavy price for his whistleblowing. So did the American people, as Plame's CIA network was devoted to protecting us from WMD's in the hands of terrorists. From that point on, the intelligence and military communities turned decisively against Bush-Cheney. No one believed them anymore. The outing of Plame, by the way, is ample grounds for prosecution of Bush and Cheney for high treason.
They twisted the Justice Department into a tool for winning elections and terrorizing the people. Both parts of this agenda have backfired, and the architects, Karl Rove and Alberto Gonzales, have been forced to resign.
Bush and Cheney have used the mainstream media to direct and control American consciousness. This has stimulated the formation and growth of a huge community of online intellectuals, volunteers who have cultivated the skills of investigative research and reporting and instantly ferret out the truth of most situations, and disseminate it widely. The light generated by our activities has probably saved us from a number of dark deeds.
Bush and Cheney expected to be able to control the US population with a combination of fascist legislation, terrorist threats of all sorts, copious distraction in the mainstream media ranging from Michael Jackson to the presidential race of '08, economic hardship, etc. Instead, our awareness of our sovereignty and rights as We the People has grown tremendously.
By using Jesus as a logo and pandering to the hate elements in the Christian right, Bush and Cheney thought they could claim and maintain a semblance of the moral high ground. This strategy has also backfired, as more and more Republicans are shown to be financially corrupt, closet gays who back homophobic legislation, racists, etc. Their hypocrisy is manifest to all. Bush and Cheney no longer have a political party behind them.
Bush and Cheney have their backs to the wall. Many of their closest friends and advisors are gone, sent off in disgrace, or rats leaving a sinking ship. Although they retain control of Congress, their power is slipping as the stench of corruption grows stronger. They cannot count on the military or the intelligence community, despite their efforts to infiltrate and control these bureaucracies. Even the evangelical churches are beginning to wonder whether they've been seriously misled.
We the People are continually bombarded with terror messages. It's easy to be discouraged and believe that fascism, even nuclear war, are inevitable and we may as well resign ourselves. Maybe we should hop on the rapture spaceship before its too late. Maybe we should stock up on bottled water, or move to New Zealand.
Dear friends, take heart. We are winning. These satan worshippers are on their way out. Much of their rhetoric is bluff and bluster. They are masters of scary disinformation, but like the wizard of Oz, they're mostly smoke and mirrors at this point. Today they are backpedaling, assuring us that they will draw down troops in Iraq, and that our skies are not unguarded, despite the Air Force stand down. If they were planning an evil deed for today, 9-14-07, there's been so much chatter that the element of surprise is gone. Let's hope and pray they abort, if they were planning anything.
We need to continue to use the Constitution, our best friend, the document which grants us, We the People, sovereignty and self-government. We need to continue to press for impeachment, to insist that our Representatives represent us, to run against them in '08 if they refuse, to exercise our freedoms of speech and assembly to the fullest, and to believe in ourselves.

Why use the number 36, in Thurday the 13th's speech?
Hello T. Scott,
Want to know the true significance of the number 36 in Bush's speech? There obviously are not 36 countries fighting in "Babble on." So why did our Bonesman President use it in his speech last night?
