I saw these two funny segments on Letterman last night and thought I'd share them with you. Letterman has been pretty upfront with his distaste for President Bush over the last couple years and it's been a delight to see him dig into him more consistently than any of the other late night comedians (not including Stewart and Colbert of course). One of my favorite segments he does regularly on the show is "Great Moments in Presidential Speeches" which is as simple a joke as you can get about Bush but still really incisive.
He plays two clips of say Kennedy or FDR and follows it with footage from one of Bush's staged "chats" and the contrast is astonishing. In the clip to your right, even Reagan seems like an incredibly articulate president compared to him. Bush is giving a speech and when describing Panama City he has to check his notes before saying it's in Panama. Priceless. He couldn't have just improvised that one huh? Check out the video to your right for more.
