SWEDEN PLANS TO PUT LITTLE RED HOUSE ON MOON

THE LOCAL, SWEDEN - Not content with having them dotted all over the
countryside, Sweden is now considering putting a little red cottage on
the moon. The idea, first conjured up by the artist Mikael Genberg seven
years ago, may become reality with the help of the Swedish Space
Corporation. . . The state agency SSC has carried out a technical study
showing that it is indeed possible to put a little red cottage on the
moon.

"If we manage to do this Sweden will be the third country to occupy the
moon", said SSC's Fredrik von Scheele.

A competition has been arranged for students to construct a little red
house that is suitably sized for placement by a moon landing device. The
construction may not exceed eight square metres and can weigh a maximum
of four kilos. A jury consisting of leading researchers and professors
from the Swedish space industry has already been appointed to oversee
the project.

The project is expected to cost 500 million kronor [about $68 millon].
Unless there are problems financing the project or there is a sudden
scarcity of Falun red paint there could be a little house on the moon by
2011. . . Experts could not confirm whether the cottage would finally
provide a permanent housing solution for the man on the moon.

HUNDREDS OF BRITS DANCE AT LIVERPOOL STATION TO THEIR OWN MP3 DRUMMER

DAILY MAIL, UK - Hundreds of people descended on Liverpool Street
station for the biggest ever turnout for the latest internet craze -
mobile clubbing. Armed with MP3 players loaded with favorite tracks the
"clubbers" arrived on the concourse just after 7 pm. Students, business
people and office workers danced in silence as they listened to their
Ipods among commuters listening to announcements about late trains. . .
One commuter said: "It was entertaining if strange to see all these
people gyrating to their own beat."
