We wanted to let you know about an upcoming special Nation Institute event taking place in Los Angeles.
Crimes of the Oval Office: Bush and the Potential for Impeachment
Elizabeth Holtzman and John W. Dean in Conversation
Moderated by Los Angeles Times columnist Patt Morrison
A book signing will follow the event.
Wednesday, September 13, 2006
8:00 pm, Royce Hall on the UCLA Campus
Former congresswoman and Brooklyn district attorney Elizabeth Holtzman, author of The Impeachment of George W. Bush (Nation Books, September 2006) joins former presidential counsel and bestselling author John W. Dean (Worse Than Watergate and Conservatives Without Conscience) for a wide-ranging public airing of the charges that President Bush and members of his Administration have undermined, circumvented and violated provisions of the American Constitution they swore to uphold.
This historic event re-unites two of the central participants from the Nixon Impeachment era, both of whom have written authoritatively on the crimes of the Bush Presidency. On the eve of the fall political season and in light of recent Federal Court decisions challenging the legality of controversial Bush policies, this conversation between two of the most thoughtful and experienced observers of American politics could not be more timely.
Tickets are $15 & $10. Click here to purchase online and click here for more info.
