Secure Fence Act - H.R.6061 The Senate is scheduled to continue work on this bill authorizing the construction of 700 miles of fencing along the U.S.-Mexico border. Defense Appropriations Act, FY2007 - H.R.5631 Both chambers are expected to vote on this $447 billion bill funding the Department of Defense for the 2007 fiscal year. The bill may include a continuing resolution that would fund government operations through November 17, 2006. The 2007 fiscal year begins on October 1, 2006.
