You have to see this...(Bloggers Opinion!!!!!)

Regular readers of this blog know that I do not often make personal endorsements of candidates. That is not what this blog is about......It is about fostering a forum of debate on issues......However as the primary season approaches I am impelled to make a personal statement..........and here it is.................PEACE................Scott

After many months of reviewing the "candidates", talking with many people, and consulting with family members I have come to the conclusion that unless Al Gore decides to run I will endorse John Edwards for the Democratic nomination for President. I do not do this lightly or hastily.....However I do this with some reservation.........I do not wholeheartedly agree with all of his positions but considering the other viable options I have I will have to go with Edwards.

Here is my analysis of the competition:

1. Hillary Clinton: Obviously the front runner according to the TPTB(The Powers That Be) Corporate Media Spin Doctors...........More of the same.........One more Corporate controlled hack and mouthpiece for the MIC (Military-Industrial Complex)..........'nuf said.

2. Barak Obama: All glitz and glamor.........no substance...........conflicting positions.......do not like his stand on U.S. Militarism..........and on and on.........

3. Dennis Kucinich: Unfortunately not a viable candidate..........I support him but the reality of the situation is that he is viewed as a one position, fringe candidate and will not have a cahnce in hell of gaining the nomination...........but thanks to him for entering the race and making sure that certain issues see the light of day.........

4. Mike Gravel: Another non-viable candidate who has made sure that the true issues are discussed if only briefly........Thanks to him also

I could go on but these are the ones I feel are worthy of note............do your analysis and make your decision based on informed choice not on political rhetoric and media spin..........Thanks for your support of this blog.............I have posted a link to the John Edwards '08 website under interesting links...........please take the time and read his position papers on the issues that are really important to America..............PEACE.............Scott

John Edwards '08

watch video

I just saw something special happen - and I wanted to tell you about it.

Yesterday, in Columbus, Kentucky - a town of 229 people - about 2,000 people turned out to see John speak. That's almost nine times the number of people who live there.

They literally came from miles around for one simple reason - they want change, and they know John is the man to deliver it.

The crowd proved what we've all known all along: John is the only candidate in this race who can compete and win in places like Columbus, Kentucky.

Can you imagine what it would be like to have a Democratic candidate who can compete and win anywhere in the country? A candidate who can connect with people in Columbus and put states like Oklahoma in play?

I can - because I saw it with my own eyes. And I know you can, too - because that candidate is John Edwards. Yesterday, the good people of Columbus, Kentucky proved us right.

Want hard evidence? Look at the facts. Just yesterday, the political website Real Clear Politics ran a story with the headline, "Edwards, Not Hillary, Is Dems' Best Chance." Also yesterday, the polling firm Rasmussen Reports summed up the polling they've been doing since the race started with the headline, "Edwards Strongest Democrat in General Election Match-ups." And the day before, a major poll came out showing John beating all of the Republican candidates in Oklahoma - a state that George Bush carried by double digits in 2004!

I've been in politics a while, and I've never seen anything like what I saw yesterday. Everyone I talked to agreed that this was the biggest crowd Columbus, Kentucky had ever seen.

Also, before I forget, I wanted to remind you that John is going to be on "Meet the Press" on NBC this Sunday. He's got something to say, so don't miss it!

I've got to run - but I'm glad I got to tell you about what happened yesterday. I know you are doing all you can to support this campaign. We appreciate everything you do - because together, we can change this country.

Sincerely,

P.S. - If you're feeling as inspired as I am, please consider making a contribution to support John's campaign for change. John has led the way in getting money out of politics by seeking public financing - a decision that also means that every donation you make up to $250 could be matched by federal funds. We are aiming to raise $500,000 by November 1, when our first filing is due. I hope you will consider making a contribution today to help us meet that goal.
