Fight Media Bias and Power!

Rupert Murdoch owns FOX News and rightwing newspapers in key cities like New York (the New York Post) and around the world. Now he wants to buy newspapers in cities across the U.S. to complete his takeover of America's news. We know what will inevitably follow: more propaganda and lies like those that led to the disastrous invasion of Iraq.

Tell the FCC to say no to media monopolies like FOX News.

Fight Media Bias and Power!

Are you tired of a monotonous media reading from the administration's bullet sheet? It could get worse! The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) just asked for public comments on its current system for limiting the number of media outlets that one big corporation can own.

Right now, many of us only have one newspaper in our town - and if the FCC changes their rules those newspapers could be bought up by TV and radio conglomerates. If the FCC has its way, media conglomerates will pay even less attention to local community needs than they do today, and you will hear even less diversity of opinion.

Help us fight local media monopolies!

Who do you think will buy up the media? Do you really want Fox News and your local newspapers to be owned by Rupert Murdoch's News Corp? Big corporations already control too much of the news and entertainment you watch on TV, listen to on the radio, and read in the newspapers.

If you are alarmed by media bias and control and its threat to our democratic principles, then you need to take action NOW. Let's give the FCC what they asked for, send in your comment!

Send in your comment!

Sincerely,

Consumers Union
