With all the debate swirling around the abortion issue. I thought that this was an interesting piece. Please take the time to watch this video. There are a couple of things going on here. First is the assertion of the Lokata people on Pine Ridge Reservation that they are a sovereign Nation and have the authority to determine their own destiny. Second is the abortion issue which I feel is not about the sanctity of life but about the subservience of women and whether they also have the sovereign right to determine their own destiny.
