USE FOUND FOR BAGPIPES

DAILY RECORD, UK - A teenager's severe asthma attacks have been cured by
the bagpipes. The condition had hit David Armour, 15, so badly he had to
give up sport and PE lessons at school. But then his mum Janet
remembered she had been told playing wind instruments could help
breathing problems. . . Pipemajor Barry Waldron, who runs the band he
plays with, says he is proving the finest young piper he has known. . .
Barry, who runs Richmond Town Pipe Band, based near David's home, said:
"I am staggered at how brilliant a piper he has become since he started
two years ago. . . "Piping makes you control your breathing and
strengthens the lungs so it can help asthma sufferers."
