Help put an end to aerial gunning of Alaska's wolves with your tax-deductible donation

Alaska’s wolves need your help right now! This week the Board of Game voted to resume the state’s barbaric aerial gunning programs that had been ruled illegal by an Alaskan judge. The killing could resume as soon as next week.

You can help end aerial gunning in Alaska. Here's how...

  • Speak Up!
Urge Interior Secretary Gale Norton to enforce the Federal Airborne Hunting Act, a federal law that could end aerial gunning in Alaska.
  • Make an Emergency Donation to the Campaign to Save Alaska's Wolves!
Now that the Board of Game has voted to reinstate aerial gunning, marksmen will be trying to make up for lost time by killing even more wolves. Your tax-deductible contribution will help us strengthen federal laws on aerial gunning, build support for a statewide ban on aerial gunning, and challenge this terrible practice in court.

A state court ruled against the aerial gunning program January 17th, but the Board of Game convened an “emergency” meeting this week to make quick fixes so aerial gunning could resume.

Over the last three years, more than 400 wolves have been killed by aerial gunning. Twenty-four wolves have been slaughtered so far this year, and the state’s programs are targeting over 400 more this winter alone.

Take action now to help end aerial gunning of Alaska's wolves. Send a message to Interior Secretary Norton right now.

Please consider also making an emergency donation right now to end this terrible practice. Help us reach our $50,000 to meet our $100,000 goal by January 31.

Make no mistake -- Aerial gunning is a brutal practice. The Board of Game’s decision will allow members of the public to once again gun down wolves from the air or use airplanes to chase them to the point of exhaustion, then land and kill them at point blank range.

Help us stop aerial gunning. Please forward this message to as many friends as possible.

As always, thank you for all you do to protect our wildlife.

Sincerely,
