QUESTION: What happens when society is run by the execs from big companies, rather than citizens like you and me?

ANSWER: Big companies decide when “free speech” is really free and bully anyone who opposes them into staying quiet.

Wal-mart spent years in court trying to bring down WalmartSucks.com, a website criticizing the giant corporation’s business practices. Now they are trying to silence opposition again.

Speak up and speak out against Wal-mart's bullying ways>> http://go.care2.com/e/MAF/qH/JXLF

Wal-mart executives first attempted to use legal tactics and intimidation to shut down Wal-martSucks.Com in 1998. After four years of litigation, Wal-Mart lost its attempt to silence the private citizens responsible for the site.

This has not stopped Wal-mart from trying again. Now, Wal-mart has turned its resources and lawyers on a site called walqaeda.com. The site featured artwork critical of Wal-mart’s business practices, and company executives are determined to make sure this artwork is never seen.

Free speech - on the Internet and off - is critical to us all.
