Shooter, starring Mark Wahlberg, is the latest in a burgeoning trend of recent movies that carry a strong anti-government sentiment - the film is both political commentary and a damning expose of how the state stages black-ops in order to achieve political agendas.

The film centers around a character called Bob Lee Swagger, played by Mark Wahlberg, a Marine sniper who retires from the military after his friend is killed while fighting in Ethiopia.

The first scene shows the two targeting a convoy of armed militants and dispatching them via a long range high caliber sniper rifle in order to protect an American convoy. As more militants arrive, the mission becomes impossible and army command leaves Swagger and his friend for dead, citing the fact that they need to cover-up their illegal presence in the country. A helicopter then guns down Swagger's friend but Swagger manages to bring down the chopper and survive.

36 months later we see Swagger at his isolated Wyoming mountain home where he lives alone with his dog. In one scene that will delight 9/11 truthers, a copy of the 9/11 Commission Report is clearly visible for extended periods in the shot as Swagger loads up his Internet while stating, “Let’s see what lies they are trying to sell us today.”

Swagger then receives a visit from Colonel Isaac Johnson (Danny Glover) who informs him that there is going to be an assassination attempt on the President and that Swagger's expert sniper skills are required to determine in which city and from which location the shooting will take place.

Though stating his dislike for the President, "and the one before that," Swagger reluctantly agrees to take on the scouting mission, eventually concluding that Philadelphia is to be where the assassination will take place.

Swagger is invited by the Colonel to be a spotter to help prevent the assassination from a building nearby to where the President is giving his speech. Immediately after the shot at the President is fired, a cop shoots Swagger twice, but he manages to jump through a window and escape. Though the actual victim of the assassination is the Archbishop of Ethiopia, Swagger is clearly being framed for the hit and the rest of the movie revolves around the government's pursuit of Swagger and his attempt to find out who the men that recruited him were and what their real agenda is.

This movie is packed with positive messages about liberty, gun ownership and detailed examples of how government black-ops are run, how patsies are framed and how cover-stories are generated. Elements of how 9/11 was scripted along with the assassination of JFK are clearly used as parallels to map out the course of the plot.

The war in Iraq, Abu Ghraib and Big Brother are all critiqued as political commentary is woven into the story at every opportunity.

During his scouting mission in Washington DC, Baltimore and Philadelphia, Swagger is seen suspiciously eyeing the various surveillance cameras that watch him from every corner. The footage from these cameras is later used to frame Swagger for the assassination and is endlessly replayed by the news networks without question.

From 9/11 Blogger;

The film is literally an M.O. for false-flag black operations:

• JFK-like Oswald patsy frame-up: Wahlberg is tricked into thinking he is on a training exercise to figure out how a shooter could kill the president. The footage captured by CCTVs during this exercise is then shown to the media. Wahlberg (aka Oswald) is supposed to be killed by a policeman (aka Ruby) who later gets murdered himself to get rid of all leads.

• Evidence (Wahlberg’s gun) is planted.

• Compartmentalization is clearly laid out to show that even Wahlberg, whilst carrying out covert military operations on a need to know basis, was actually unknowingly part of a cover-up of a government-sponsored genocide in Africa.

• Top level elements of FBI and other agencies are in on it.

• Other notable quotes :

"Nothing, no matter how horrible, ever really happens without the approval of the government, over there and here. The problem isn’t the doing, the problem is that the people in power have to admit they knew. The prisoner are killed at Abu Ghraib but only the underlings go to jail. Their bosses knew. We know their bosses knew. But you don’t say it."

At one point in the film, an officer asks Swagger: “Do we let America be ruled by thugs?” Replies Swagger: “Sure, some years we do.”

“There are no Democrats, Republicans, Sunnis or Shiites, just have and have-not's.”

“It’s all about oil."

Though you'll see plenty of violence and things exploding, this is by no means a mindless action flick, the plot is intricate enough to keep you guessing until the very end while developments remain believable and consistent.

The movie clearly reflects a refreshing recent trend, the shift away from depicting government as our savior which was especially virulent after 9/11, replaced with a portrayal of the true nature of the state - covert, nefarious, ruthless and corrupt.

Response to the film has been mixed and poor in some quarters - critics have completely failed to understand that Shooter feeds directly into the the political and cultural zeitgeist of our time, and should be upheld as a fantastic example of how many Hollywood directors have vowed to devote their work in contribution to the mass awakening to the crimes of the state that is taking place worldwide.

"Now, apparently, the type of government-business conspiracy suggested in Michael Moore’s “Fahrenheit 9/11” has become so easy for viewers to accept that it can be incorporated into the plot of even a Mark Wahlberg shoot-’em-up without fear of antagonizing mainstream moviegoers," laments one hack.

Shooter is in cinemas now and I urge all 9/11 truthers to go and see it.
