| What Matters Most to Me Is... |
"Thinking and acting globally is what matters a lot to me. We are one planet, and we cannot afford to be overly nationalistic in these times. What happens in the Sudan has an impact here. What happens in the world's rainforests affects us right here. I think we need to stretch ourselves, find out what others around the world think, respond and embrace. Our country is the richest in the world, but we are not necessarily the most savvy. Someone once said that the word 'humility' is synonymous with 'teachability,' and I like to think we can be more humble by learning to listen to other points of view with open ears, minds and hearts. Our earth's welfare is at stake and, unless all is right with our earth, the people on it will suffer the consequences." -- Wendy, New Dreamer from Arizona

| Partner Spotlight - No Dirty Gold |
We know it's going to take millions of individuals and thousands of organizations to really shift the American Dream's focus back from "more is better" to "more of what matters." That's why we like to spotlight some of our partners who are helping lead the charge. For Valentine's Day, we're highlighting No Dirty Gold, a campaign that's pushing Target to join the growing list of jewelry retailers that have adopted the Golden Rules criteria for more responsible mining.
