President's Day Quote

This in response to the President's Day quote that I posted on the CDUI list........Scott

The key to Rosevelts statement is "union of my trade" in that even a rich
outsider recognized the need for skills in a given trade as opposed to the
Pee Wee Herman approach by McCarron by forcing his members to become
dongbeaters. The recent statements by all those jumping the good ship labor
must be examined closely, in particular when they mention organizing.. They
are not talking about organizing the unorganized, it is about giving into
the contractors on jurisdiction and raiding other unions. The UBC is now
well on its way to becomming a union buster, a scab organization, and others
are following their lead. Example: Millwrights local 1051 in Lincoln Il is
now training dongbeater millwrights to operate Carry decks so they can take
inhouse maintainence jobs away from industrial unions. Judging by recent
statements by the Operating Engineers International President, Giblin, he is
willing to go along with that decision. The new building trades alliance are
now professional scabs who will force their members to carry out their
perversion. The early letters between McCarron[the anti-Christ of organized
labor] annd John Sweeney, President of the AFL-CIO, all centered on
McCarron's demand to scrap the articles governing jurisdiction from the
AFL-CIO constitution. I am preparing a new article on this subject and will
elaborate more thoroughly. Wake up UBC members and be prepared to be thrown
into a war with no winners except the wealthy contractors who must be
laughing with joy at the these stumbling, bumbling morons we call leaders.
When the bodies start piling up from inexperienced operators, unfamiliar
work, and safety violations, just know you were well though of until they
drag a new body in to fill your slot. If you accept training that belongs
to another skill, turn in your union card and crawl to the nex rat, scab
job.
