Yeehaaaww! Mosey on over. The "GodMen" are in town:

Studies show that 60% of regular churchgoers are women, and one group of men believes the reason is that "Christianity is too soft."
ABC's Nightline visited a meeting at a Tennessee shopping mall of nearly 300 men who call themselves "GodMen" and say they want to "cowboy up as followers of Jesus." At the meeting, the men were encouraged to get in touch with their feelings about Internet pornography, adultery, and homosexuality.

So many one-liners are swirling around my head right now. Let me just say this: If they need to get in touch with those pent up feelings about porn, they can saddle up and hightail it out to the nearest Marriott with Mitt Romney.

Christian conservative standup comic (!!) Brad Kline, who co-founded the GodMen group:

"We don't have any congregation we have to answer to. We're just guys trying to be straight and being real."

How does one try to be straight? Guess I'll have to ask Larry Craig.

Kline introduced "ex-gay" Michael Brewer, who spoke of his belief that gay sex is wrong and his struggle to learn how to be a real heterosexual Christian man. He was loudly cheered and applauded by the crowd.

Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go struggle to learn how to be something I'm not, too, like a real Tibetan yak. Or a real sumo wrestler. Or a real saint for not telling these guys what I think of them.

Brad Kline, them GodMen cain't quit you, but I can.

(I'll add the video as soon as I can)
