Mikhaela Reid interviews Stephanie McMillan, the creator of "Ask Bill", a celebrated cartoon that skewered a Republican champion of the South Dakota abortion ban:
In McMillan’s cartoon, a young man asks his sister Kranti which salad dressing she would like, to which she responds that as a woman, she can’t make a decision without calling Bill Napoli at home or at work. The cartoon contains the relevant phone numbers.

According to the Rapid City Journal, Napoli received a “flood” of calls, which he claimed were mostly “intolerable filth.”

But as we all know, Bill Napoli loves talking dirty. This is the lusty description of rape exemptions to the South Dakota abortion ban that attracted McMillan's attention in the first place:

A real life description, to me, would be a rape victim. Brutally raped; savaged. The girl was a virgin; she was religious; she planned on saving her virginity until she was married. She was brutalized and raped, sodomized as bad as you can possibly make it, and is impregnated. I mean, that girl could be so messed up, physically and psychologically, that carrying that child could very well threaten her life.

"Ask Bill" inspired writer Nancy Goldstein to call up Bill Napoli for advice on slipping a little sausage into the paella.
