As was the case the last time Jon Stewart hosted the Oscars, the audience just doesn't seem to get him. Unlike Billy Crystal, Stewart has a tendency to poke fun at the self righteousness and self absorption of Hollywood and I guess they don't like laughing at themselves. Nevertheless, I found this bit from his opening appearance funny. He riffs on the failure of Iraq War themed dramas, the preference of Hollywood for Democrats and how until now only movies would envision a black or female president.
