Where does Fox "News" get these guys? From MSNBC in this case. But Gregg Jarrett didn't even bother to do his homework. All he did today was flack for the GOP. Shocking, I know.

"John 'skippy' Edwards, I like that. (laughter)..." - Gregg Jarrett

Then when his wingnut radio guest said Republicans aren't doing so well in the "global war on terror" either, Mr. Jarrett offered this:

I didn't expect your response, by the way. ..." - Gregg Jarrett

I'll bet.

But once again and to no one's surprise, Fox "News" is wondering out loud if foiled terrorist attacks in London and Glasgow will help the Republicans in '08. You know, because the Republicans are so (cough) strong on national (cough - insert laughter here) security. Evidently Mr. Jarrett hasn't heard the latest news.

Rasmussen Reports updates these tracking polls in separate banks of five issues at a time. In our previous update, Democrats gained modest ground on four of the five issues. However, there was one major exception to the trend and the Republicans gained ground on immigration. Some Republicans have been seen as taking the lead on trying to defeat an immigration bill that is far more popular in Congress than among the general public. While Republicans gained ground on immigration, Democrats gained a net two points on the economy, four points on national security, four points on the War in Iraq, and five points on Government Ethics and Corruption.
On Taxes: 44% Trust Democrats, 40% Favor the GOP emphasis added

But even one of the latest polls from Fox "News" shows Democrats ahead in the "global war on terror." TPM posted on this reality last week.

If there is an all-out war between the United States and various radical Muslim groups worldwide, who would you rather have in charge -- Democrats or Republicans?
Democrats 41%
Republicans 38%
Both the same (not listed) 9%
Don't know (not listed) 12%

You'd think Jarrett would at least pay attention to his own network's polling, but no. The only thing he wanted to do today was spend some time bashing '08 Democrats, laughing at John Edwards, scoffing at Obama's strength, while pushing the favorite theme of all Republicans (especially on Fox): Terror today, terror tomorrow, terror forever. So what else is new?
